COMING SOON! Katie's Dream, a wonderful full color picture book written by Robin Thew and Katie Rocco and illustrated by Robin Thew. The story is of a little girl's dream of having a horse of her own but cannot afford one. She fantasizes of all the things she would do with her horse, if she had one. Then her story tells of the reality of not having a horse, but never losing site of her dream.
The story began in 1971 as three dimensional sculptures created by Robin Thew, featured in Tiffany's in New York City, telling of her young daughter, Katie Rocco, who was completely in love with horses. Robin had worked with Gene Moore, the curia tor of the windows at Tiffanys, several times before who loved the idea of the story. The windows were so popular with horse crazy girls, that it took 20 minuets of working through the crowds just to get a peek.
This book is for children and adults alike, anyone who is or was crazy for horses as a kid will completely identify with the story of this little girl.
